Education is a way to learn about our world, near and far.  I personally believe, regardless of circumstance, everyone should have access to an efficient and compelling educational environment. To me, in order to effectively stimulate learning, a classroom needs passionate teachers, clean rooms, access to books, and availability to technology.

I believe that everyone deserves access to education, regardless of ethnicity, gender, or circumstance. It's a human right- and yet, girls are disproportionately pulled out of school in India for various reasons. Using my passion for social justice and experience in leadership and empowerment, I strive to advance the mission of LWB by focusing on providing women and girls in Kolkata with the resources they need to succeed.
Shalmoli Biswas, Advisor and Volunteer
My professional career took off from Aviation Sector to Banking to Power Service & finally landed in Retail Sector. Along with this I believe When you make a positive impact in someone else’s life, you also make a positive impact in your own life.  Do something that’s greater than you – something that helps someone else to be happy or to suffer less. You are only one, but you are one.  You cannot do everything, but you can do something.  Smile and enjoy the fact that you made a difference – one you are likely to remember forever.

 As a woman who has obtained higher education in the United States, I believe that my passion for not only my India heritage, but also my passion for education, serves well to help fulfill the mission of this organization. I strive to make a difference in others lives every single day, whether it be through my work with the Army or my work with LWB.
Jack Ganguly, Volunteer
Jack is a freelancing manager and student at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. A strong advocate for social change, he has participated in organizing protests and creating multi-strategic marketing campaigns to effectively bring events to life. He serves as an advisor and strategist in realizing the mission for this organization.
