I had a simple plan in mind. Go to India and check out a couple of schools to understand what the state of affairs looked like, see where I could help, and figure out how I could get my network of friends and family involved to help make changes. I was initially nervous and worried about what I would see and experience. Would I see a bunch of abused children? Kids malnourished with ribs sticking out of their bodies under rags of clothes they would be wearing? Would they be misbehaved with abusive language and inappropriate expectations of girls and women? I just didn't know. Guess what...I experienced the absolute opposite! The children that I met in 4 different slum schools were incredibly resilient, thriving in the worst of situations. They were loving and caring of one another. Even with what little they had, they were always willing to share and of course, they felt privileged and appreciative that they were in school. They are truly incredible human beings, with dreams bigger than the universe. Please continue to visit our website, read our blogs and visit us on social media for more information. Let's do this!!!
